The South Portland Historical Society has just relocated the Cushing’s Point House to become its permanent home at Bug Light Park, plans are underway to landscape the area with paved walks and flower gardens of native Maine perennials.  You are offered the opportunity to support our renovation effort and leave your mark in history for generations to come by purchasing a brick to be placed within a walkway on the museum grounds.

Bricks are being offered in two sizes, 4 x 8 inch and 8 x 8 inch.  Cost, including engraving, for a 4 x 8 brick is $100.  Cost for an 8 x 8 inch brick, including engraving, is $250. 

Your brick may be engraved with your name of choice - for example, your own name, the name of a beloved ancestor, a family member, or with the name of someone special you wish to recognize.

  • A 4 x 8 inch brick can accommodate up to three lines of engraving, with up to 18 letters/numbers per line, including spaces.
  •  An 8 x 8 brick can accommodate up to six lines of engraving, with up to 18 letters/numbers per line, including spaces.

The purchase of your brick is tax deductible.  Should you wish to purchase a brick in honor of someone, the society will notify the individual or a family member of your gift.
